Putting this resource to work
Suggested workflow based on the resource’s published scope. Adapt it to your organization and review the included instructions before use.
Before you begin
Define the process purpose, trigger, customer, output, boundary, systems and approval authority. Gather current-process evidence, name owners and identify the controls, exceptions and training required for a controlled release.
Suggested workflow
Register a stable SOP ID and version, then write one observable action per step with its owner, input, output, system, evidence and exception path. Confirm handoffs, test controls, qualify required roles and complete the release workflow before the effective date.
Review before relying on the result
An SOP is an operating control, not only a narrative. Preserve stable IDs, require one accountable owner for material handoffs, and release only when control, training and approval evidence is complete. Re-test material changes before issuing a new version.
